I've been browsing around and stumbled upon this. I think this was not only adorable, funny, a bit scary (though honestly the whole cult in the woods trope is so overused at this point), but I actually enjoyed this thoroughly. I would love it if there was a full version of a game like this. This is why I still play gamejam games - you never know when you'll find some gems. Great job!
Ok, I love it! Short story but really good. The car crash is great 🤭, the satanic bears too. I saw that you put a lot of effort into the photo designs, and I appreciate that—they’re really beautiful. The journal at the end is also really well done. The character animation is simple, but it works. Of course, I didn’t mention it, but the camera system is well made and works great.
For the negative points, first, I found a bug. It's not a big deal, but I wanted to let you know—you can go over a sprite (see the screenshot). Maybe it's a bit short, but I can't really comment on that given the length of mine. Lastly, the birds at the top of the forest—at first, I thought they were mushrooms 🙃. *
I recommend, great game, well done to all the team behind the game.
Thank you for the feedback we appreciate it a ton! The z layering system is a little chaotic due to bad planning, so some sprites don't layer correctly, but I'll try to get it fixed during the 48 hour period we get now to correct that stuff :) I sadly don't think it's allowed to fix the other bugs though.
